The Nevada Gold-Copper project is a 100% owned property of Capella Resources. It is located on the Maricunga Gold Belt in the Republic of Chile and comprises seven claims for a 1900 hectare landholding. The process of Gold enrichment on the Nevada property of the company is hydrothermal, and it is associated with a massive 200mX400m breccia body with vuggy silica alteration which has intruded dacitic volcanic rocks. Gold mineralization at Nevada provides an excellent potential for Capella Resources as a near surface gold-copper deposit as it is consistent with high sulphidation gold systems like Veladero, Pierina and Yanacocha.
Nevada Gold-Copper project of Capella Resources is located approximately 700 kilometers northwest of Santiago, Chile. It is strategically situated between Exeter Resource Corporation's Caspiche Project and Kinross Gold's Maricunga Mine. The Kinross Gold's Maricunga Mine hosts a gold resource of over 6 million ounces while, the Exeter Resource Corporation's Caspiche Project has recently reported a diamond drill intersection (CSD-016) of 627 meters of 1.1 g/t Au and 0.43% Cu. This has helped the nearby Caspiche to become a major gold-copper discovery three kilometers away from the Nevada property. The exploration work completed the experts of the company on the Nevada property includes an historical compilation, Induced Polarization ("IP") and Ground Magnetic surveys and a detailed multi-spectral remote sensing study.
The results of recently conducted IP and Magnetic surveys by the experts of Capella Resources have outlined a half kilometer-diameter circular magnetic high in the western area of the claims group and the result of the detailed remote sensing study indicates an establishment of a two kilometer-diameter intensely altered zone to the immediate east of the magnetic high. This zone is the newly discovered high priority target area at the Nevada property of Capella.
