Capella Resources Ltd. is a Canada based junior exploration and mineral development company with active exploration operations across Chile, USA and Atlantic Canada. The Nevada Gold-Copper project is strategically located between the Kinross Gold's Maricunga or Refugio Mine and the Exeter Resource's Caspiche Project in the Maricunga Gold Belt, Northern Chile. This project is a 1900 hectare landholding of Capella Resources Ltd. The exploration work completed by the experts of the company on both the projects includes historical compilation, Induced Polarization (IP) and ground magnetic survey, and a detailed multi spectral remote sensing study and 3D Modeling. Capella Resources Ltd. has also been working on the Tinton Gold Project. This project is located 15 kilometers west-northwest of the famous and historic Homestake Mine in Black Hills at Lead, South Dakota. The Tinton property is contained in 157 unpatented mining claims and is a 1270 hectare landholding of the company.
The Maricunga Gold Belt hosts 14 major prospects which include three operating mines and two substantial idle deposits. This Gold-Copper Belt is approximately 150 kilometers long and 30 kilometers wide and comprises of a NNE trending chain of andesitic to dacitic volcanoes. It hosts a series of epithermal high sulphidation and porphyry-style gold-silver-copper deposits like La Coipa, Refugio, Aldebaran, La Pepa, Soledad, Pantanillo, Lobo, Escondido, and Marte.
