Capella Resources Ltd. is a publically traded exploration and mineral development company and has a strong portfolio precious and base metal projects in Chile. The company has 100% ownership of Lajitas Gold-Copper Project which is located among the established resources on the Maricunga Gold Belt in Northern Chile. The Lajitas property owned by Capella Resources Ltd. consists of 1600 hectares of exploration and exploitation claims. A zone of continuous gold mineralization located 50 meters north of the Santa Fe Historic resource has been encountered by the company. Drilling program at Lajitas Gold-Copper Project has been initiated by Capella and since origination, four drill holes namely LJ09012r, LJ09013r, LJ09014 and LJ10015r, have been completed at the project site.
LJ10015r was drilled to the east at an angle of -60 degrees using reverse circulation techniques, and it intersected 318m at 0.68 grams per metric ton gold (0.02 oz/t) over the entire length of the 318m drill hole which includes 140m (459 ft) at 1.02 g/t gold (0.033 oz/t). Gold mineralization in this hole is oxide which is positive with regard to metallurgical processing but the impact of drilling in this hole is yet to be determined. While the drill holes LJ09012r, LJ09013r and LJ0914r are located 350m east, 400m east-northeast, 450m northeast, respectively of the Santa Fe resource area. The drill hole LJ09012, drilled towards northeast has intersected a new zone of gold mineralization of 74m at 0.11 g/t gold while, drill hole LJ09013r is also drilled to the northeast but has not observed any gold mineralization yet. The drill hole LJ09014r has intersected anomalous gold (8m at 0.08 g/t) at the bottom of the hole, and it represents the edge of the extreme northern extension of the Santa Fe zone.
